Rick Lazio
Rick Lazio, managing director, is a member of the JPMorgan Chase Global Real Estate and Infrastructure Team. An employee since 2004, Rick focuses on client development and marketing to investors; strengthening relationships with governmental and other public officials; and advising clients and the firm on public policy issues.
Previously, Rick was executive vice president of Global Government Affairs and Public Policy of JPMorgan Chase and a member of the Executive Committee.
Prior to joining the firm, Rick served for three years as president and chief executive officer of the Financial Services Forum, an economic policy organization comprised of CEOs of 20 of the largest financial institutions doing business in the United States.
Rick was elected to Congress in 1992 and served four terms representing New York's 2nd District. He became Deputy Majority Whip in 1995 and was later Assistant Majority Leader. He served on both the House Commerce and Banking committees during the drafting and passage of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 and chaired the Banking Committee's Subcommittee on Housing. Rick became an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, New York, in 1984 and served for five years before being elected to the Suffolk County Legislature. He also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee of TB Woods Corporation as well as chair of the Polaroid Company Governance Committee.
Rick serves on the boards of the World Rehabilitation Fund, Audubon New York, the Enterprise Community Partners Board of Trustees, the Ad Council, Committee for Economic Development, and International Conservation Caucus Foundation. Rick holds a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College, a law degree from American University and has received two honorary doctorates.
