Earl E. Gales, Jr.

Earl E. Gales, Jr., Chairman/CEO of Jenkins, Gales & Martinez, has been at the forefront of public transportation policy and implementation for more than 25 years. His experience includes Master Planning, Feasibility Studies, Architectural Design, Program and Construction Management for a wide variety of highly complex transit/transportation projects. Earl’s graduate thesis at UCLA (“An Integrated Rail Network for Metropolitan Los Angeles, c. 1978”) formed one of the critical documents in the Federal funding package for the Los Angeles Metro Rail system.

Having served on the US Vice President’s Commission on the National Infrastructure, Earl’s reputation in this vital field is well known. Among his extensive list of projects: Alameda Corridor Project – Carson, CA; Broadway/Manchester Transit Center - L.A.; Eastside Light Rail Transit Project - L.A.; Engineering Management Consultant Team for the Los Angeles; Metro Rail System – L.A.; Remote Boarding Gates, LAX International Airport; L.A.-Bakersfield High Speed Rail Alignment Study/ State of California, Department of Transportation (Caltrans); L.A. World Airports (LAWA) Facilities and Development Survey; LAWA Security Assessment Program; METRO Administration Building and Transit Center - Houston, TX; Ontario International Airport Terminal Area Expansion - Ontario, CA; Union Station Transit Project - L.A.

Earl established a $400,000 scholarship at UCLA for African-American students interested in Architecture.
